The purpose of this article is to observe the relationship between landscapes and the internal world with the later poetry of Choi, Ha-rim. He placed the first proposition of poetry in the mind of denial to a world of absurdity and in the aesthetic impulse in which the adventures in the language are solidified. In particular, his later poetry is thought and expressed through the shapes of nature that dissipate the problems of life and death of human beings as they cross the ‘invisible abyss’ and complex exercises of everlasting life that flowers from them. The researcher read these aspects of his later poetry focusing on the following three stages of poetic flow and the mental crests that burst from them. First, he forged the internal starvation, the wandering of poetry and life, and the abyss of existence and nature, which are the key angles of his poetry, through the mind and language of the far side of reality. Second, he objectified the shadow or impulse of personal and social death that dug into his entire life through the alienation and destruction of the body and soul of the weakest man called ‘Moondoongee.’ However, by internalizing the procession of their lives and souls into comparisons for natural things such as birds and trees, or in other words, by internalizing the pitiful downfall of life through the poetics of oneness that grasps new life, the threat of disease and death has been dramatically overcome. Third, the poet imagined and drew the life movement of being renewed from the impulse of death to the impulse of life with the language of three-dimensional adventure that converts the “‘landscape’ of me to the ‘me’ of landscapes”. The result is a series of prose poems in the Choi, Ha-rim Complete Book of Poetry after his death. Poet Choi, Ha-rim left us with the final lyricism of death and life crossing over each other through slow and lengthy prose poems that are dynamic and actually full of suspense.
