This study designed a multicultural education activity based on an intertextual approach and investigated the perceptions of high school students regarding its benefits. In this study, intertextuality was used as a concept encompassing both comparative literature approach, which explores the similarities and differences between two different texts based on diverse cultural backgrounds, “Kongjwi and Patjwi” and “Cinderella,” and integrated reading activity, which fosters an attitude of cultural relativism and a critical perspective through juxtaposition of text materials and reading multiple texts. The study conducted repeated coding according to Pfister (1985), who categorized the qualitative criteria of intertextuality into referentiality, communicativeness, reflexity, structurality, and selectivity, and examined the subcategories and statements according to each criterion.
