The academic arguments of multicultural education were mainly based on the concepts of “Multiculturalism” and “Interculturalism”. Multiculturalism was mainly discussed in North American context, whereas Interculturalism in Western European context. Particularly Interculturalism in german society, which dealt with the multiculturalism based upon ethnic identity, has many implications for the multicultural society in Korea. But which is required in applying interculturalism to the educational field is to gain its concrete contents. So with this study I attempt to acquire the concrete contents for practical doing of multicultural education from “Mutual-Inclusivism”(ger. Mutualer Inklusivismus). Mutual-Inclusivism implies the dual principles of Freedom and Love as theoretical basis for inter-religious dialogues. Rather than putting absolute value in one's point of view and tradition, it is the task of reciprocity to secure new self-understanding and understanding of others and other cultures. This study seeks to explore the principles for the practical development of intercultural education through this mutual-Iinclusivism.
