다문화가정의 경제적 수준이 자녀의 희망교육수준에 미치는 영향 : 자아존중감, 학교 성적, & 부모 지지의 매개효과를 중심으로
본 연구는 다문화 가정의 경제적수준이 자녀의 ‘희망교육수준’에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하고, 특히 자아존중감, 학교 성적, 그리고 부모 지지의 매개효과를 중심으로 그 영 향관계를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 한국청소년정책연구원에서 실시한 ‘다문화청소년 패널조사’ 2기 1차 자료를 사용하여 2245명의 다문화 가정 자녀를 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화가정의 경제적 수준이 자녀의 ‘희망교육 수준’에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p < .01). 둘째로, 다문화가정의 경제 적 수준이 자녀의 희망교육수준에 정적인 영향을 미침에 있어서, 자아존중감이 정적인 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다(p < .05). 셋째로, 다문화가정의 경제적 수준이 자녀의 희망교육수준에 정적인 영향을 미침에 있어서, 학교 성적이 정적인 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다(p < .01). 끝으로, 다문화가정의 경제적 수준이 자녀의 희망 교육수준에 정적인 영향을 미침에 있어서, 부모 지지가 정적인 매개효과를 가지는 것 으로 나타났다(p < .05).
The Effects of the Economic Level of Family on the ‘Desired Educational Level’ of the Children from Multicultural Families : Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Self-Esteem, and Academic Performance, and Parental Support
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the economic level of the family on the ‘desired educational level’ of children of multicultural families, and to verify the effect relationship, especially focusing on the mediating effects of self-esteem, academic performance, and parental support. The subjects of the study were 2224 children of multicultural families using the primary data of the 2nd period of the ‘Multicultural Youth Panel Survey’ conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. The results of this study’s analysis are as follows: First, it was found that the economic level of the family had a positive effect on the ‘desired educational level’ of the children of multicultural families(p < .01). Second, it was found that the economic level of the family had a positive effect on the desired educational level of children from multicultural families, self-esteem had a positive mediating effect(p < .05). Third, it was found that the economic level of the family had a positive effect on the desired educational level of children from multicultural families, and academic performance had a positive mediating effect(p < .01). And finally, it was found that the economic level of the family had a positive effect on the desired educational level of children from multicultural families, and parental support also had a positive mediating effect(p < .05).
