청년 1인 가구의 여가경험에 대한 탐색적 연구
본 연구는 현상학적 접근방법을 적용하여 청년 1인 가구의 여가경험을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 청년 1인 가구의 여가경험 행태는 어떠한지 그리고 여가경험의 의미는 무엇인지를 알아보았다. 연구대상은 25-34세의 취업한 청년층을 대상으로 1인 가구의 지속기간이 최소 1년 이상인 연구 참여자 12명을 선정하여 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 심층 인터뷰를 바탕으로 귀납적 내용분석을 통해 나타난 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청년 1인 가구의 여가경험 행태는 ‘나 홀로 여가’, ‘집에서 즐기는 여가’, ‘소셜 미디어 활용’, ‘삶의 균형’으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청년 1인 가구의 여가경험 의미는 ‘몰입과 기분전환’, ‘재충전’, ‘즐거운 경험’, ‘나를 알아가기’, ‘성취감’, ‘현재의 행복 추구’로 나타났다. 본 연구는 최근 증가하고 있는 청년 1인 가구의 여가경험 행태와 그에 따른 여가경험의 의미를 심층적으로 탐색하였으며, 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 청년 1인 가구의 여가를 이해하고 여가의 활성화를 위한 정책 및 실무적 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
An Exploratory Study on the Leisure Experience of Single Young Households
The purpose of this study was to explore the leisure experience of young workers living alone using phenomenological approach. The research questions are two folds: 1) what is single young households’ type of leisure experiences? and 2) what are the meanings of their leisure experiences? The participants of this study were 12 (age 25-34), who are currently employed. We conducted in-depth interview for the study and explored the participants’ type of leisure experiences and the meanings of their leisure. The study results showed that type of leisure experiences of participants turn out to be: ‘leisure on my own’, ‘leisure at home’, ‘leisure through SNS’, and ‘life balance’. Also, the meanings they found from the leisure experience were: ‘flow and recreation’, ‘refreshment’, ‘enjoyment’, ‘self-exploration’, ‘achievement’, and ‘happiness at this moment’. The results of this study will facilitate the discussion of policy making to better accommodate the leisure life for the youth in Korea.
